APERTURE WINERY
+TASTING ROOM Role: Project Manager Use Permit through Construction Administration
The Aperture Winery in Healdsburg, California draws inspiration from the art of photography, reflecting the client’s passion for capturing the essence of its craft through both wine and design. At the heart of the design is the prefab metal building, a contemporary design of concrete and metal panels. The use of metal gives the structure a sleek, industrial feel while providing the durability and functionality required for a high-performance winemaking facility.
In contrast to the industrial strength of the winery, the stick-built tasting room offers a warm, inviting space for visitors to engage with the wines in a more intimate, organic setting. The tasting room is thoughtfully designed to reflect the warmth and character of the winery’s wines. The use of wood, glass, and other natural materials creates a welcoming atmosphere, while large windows frame sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards, allowing visitors to connect with the landscape.
